ABOUT
WELL OVER A DECADE IN THE FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRY, STARTING WORK IN THE ART DEPARTMENT AND MOVING TO VFX IN 2015, WITH EXPERIENCE ACROSS THE ENTIRE PROCESS FROM PRE-PRODUCTION, THROUGH FILMING, TO POST PRODUCTION AND FINAL DELIVERY.
I HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO WORK ACROSS A VARIETY OF PROJECTS AND COMPANIES. THE LAST FEW YEARS HAVE SEEN ME WORKING ON A RANGE OF PROJECTS, FROM LARGER CG HEAVY SHOWS TO SMALLER PRIMARILY 2D PROJECTS, SUPERVISING TEAMS RANGING FROM A FEW CORE ARTISTS TO MULTIPLE VENDORS AND 30+ IN-HOUSE ARTISTS.
IN 2023 I MOVED FROM VFX SUPERVISOR AT UNION VFX TO BECOME A 2D SUPERVISOR AT OUTPOST. THIS SAW ME WORK ON CONSIDERABLY HIGHER BUDGET AND SHOT COUNT SHOWS, MANAGING MORE ARTISTS ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS, DEALING WITH THE PROJECT AS A WHOLE, WHILST ALSO BEING HANDS ON AT A SHOT LEVEL. THIS HAS RUN THE GAMBIT ACROSS DISCIPLINES AND LEVELS, WITH VARYING DEGREES OF TIME AND RESOURCES.
OUTSIDE OF VFX I TURN MY HAND TO VARIOUS DESIGN AND CREATIVE WORK. POSTERS FOR TWO SERIES OF ‘INSIDE NUMBER NINE’, ALL MANNER OF BAND/BAR/EVENT ARTWORK AND MOST RECENTLY TITLE SEQUENCES, POSTERS AND SUNDRY ARTWORK FOR THE DOCUMENTARY FILM ‘THE SESSION MAN’.
OUTSIDE OF WORK I PLAY WITH VARIOUS CAMERAS, BUILD SPEAKERS, COOK, PAINT, DRAW AND CREATE MESS.
